New Chute Hoppers for Tristar Housing High Rise

Interseal begin programme of replacing all in-built refuse chute hoppers and discharge sections throughout Tristar Housing portfolio of ‘High Rise’ Properties.

The new units will compliment the recent upgrade of the properties to meet the requirements of current fire safety legislation and the Thirteen Group commitment to attainment and maintenance of full compliance. 

All refuse hoppers are independently tested and certified, grey hammer powder coated finish, bottom-hinged, vandal proof security fixings, self-sealing, self-closing

and smoke sealed to BS476 section 31.1 and BS5588 with a 1.5 hour fire rating to BS 476 part 22, section 6.

Discharge units comprise square steel discharge section leading from underside of bin store roof to waste container, 2 hour fire tested and independently certified automatic fire shutter door to BS 476: Part 22: Section 6: 1987, set with high tensile loading spring and 70 degree fire tested fusible link.
